Being a romantic at heart and having devoured her share of romances, it was inevitable that Elizabeth Sinclair (aka Marge Smith) would one day write them. Following her dream, which took more than a couple of wrong turns along the way, in 1993 she sold her first romance, JENNY'S CASTLE, to Silhouette Intimate Moments. This perennial favorite reached #2 on the Walden Bestseller List and won a 1995 Georgia Romance Writers' Maggie Award for Excellence. since then, this multi-published author's books have sold in seventeen countries and been translated into seven foreign languages.

Elizabeth has been a member of RWA for sixteen years as well as three RWA affiliated chapters, and The Author's Guild. She taught creative writing for twelve years and has given seminars and workshops, locally and nationally, on the craft of writing. She has judged the Emilys, the Maggies, the Golden Heart, the RITAs and numerous other chapter-sponsored contests, as well as trained her chapter members for judging the First Coast Romance Writer's Dreaded Synopsis Contest.

In 1992, Elizabeth co-founded the First Coast Romance Writers of Jacksonville, FL and has since served in various offices in the chapter. FCRW has honored Elizabeth with three chapter service awards and two SARAs (Service Award for Romance Advancement), the chapter's highest honor.
